For most temperate-winter climates (heavy rain, frost, urban wind chill) it is a complete outer layer on its own. In extreme sub-zero conditions you may want a light mid-layer underneath.

The jacket is cut for a structured, slightly relaxed fit through the shoulders and chest. It fits true to size for most builds. If you prefer room for thicker knitwear underneath, sizing up one is a reasonable choice.

Wipe the leather outer with a dry or lightly damp cloth after exposure to heavy rain. Apply a leather conditioner every two to three months to maintain suppleness and prevent drying. Do not machine wash. The sherpa lining can be spot-cleaned with a mild detergent on a damp cloth.
